Lavonne D. Telsee is the First Lady of True Joy Healing and Restoration Ministries, and was born in Arlington Virginia, February 12th, 1964.  She accepted Christ as her personal savior at the early age of sixteen while attending Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where Reverend Carroll A.Baltimore was pastor.  She met the Honorable Kenneth W. Telsee at Ft. Myer, Virginia in October 1985.  They later married in May of 1987.  She is the proud mother of three children (Talisha, Ken Jr., and Kortney Marie).

She takes her call to do the work of the Lord a serious one and knows what God can do for someone who calls upon Him for help.  Lady Telsee also knows Him as a deliverer, mind regulator, heart fixer and healer.  In October 2001 she underwent 7 hours of brain surgery to remove a tumor wrapped around her main artery.  She gives thanks to the almighty God knowing that He kept her for a time such as this to share her testimony of healing and restoration.  With a Love for God, and a clear understanding of her purpose in Christ, the Lord has equipped her to heal the wounded heart, the broken in spirit and to encourage others to step out on faith as they strive to reach their destiny in God.  Her word gives hope and encouragement to those under attack by the enemy.  She is an anointed woman of God who’s “on-fire for the Lord,” and continually strives to meet the needs of those in whom she serves.  Lady Telsee lives the life of a dedicated Christian, refusing to compromise her walk with the Lord.  Through God’s awesome grace and mercy, this dynamic woman of God has stood on the forefront of strife, pain and various interpersonal situations, yet overcoming them all while saying, “If it had not been for the Lord on my side, where would I be.”
