DOCTRINAL STATEMENT (What we Believe) WE believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. (John 1:1-3; 2 Titus 3:16:17; Romans 10:17; Hebrew 4:12) WE believe that there is one God, which operates as one, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 43:11; 1John 5:7; 1Corinthians 8:6; John 15:26) WE believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Matthew 1:18; John 2:23; Isaiah 53:5; Ephesians 1:7; Mark 13:26) WE believe that for salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. (Galatians 5:19; John 3:3; John 3:7) WE believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is given to believers who ask for it. (Matthew 7:11; Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:5; Acts 1:8) WE believe that the manifestation of the Holy Spirit (gifts of the Spirit) is given to every man to profit withal. (1 Corinthians 12:7-11; 1 Corinthians 14:40) WE believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; that they are saved unto the resurrection of life and they are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:28-29; Acts 24:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:13) WE believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 12:5; 1Cor 10:17; 1 Corinthians 12:13) WE believe in the operation of the Five-Fold Ministry for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-12; 1 Corinthians 12:28) WE believe that Water Baptism is necessary as instructed by Christ in St. John 3:5. However, we do not believe that water baptism alone is a means of salvation, but is an outward demonstration that one has already had a conversion experience and has accepted Christ as his/her personal Savior. (John 3:5; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:4; 1 Peter 3:21) WE believe that The Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) was instituted by Christ. We further believe that the believer’s participation is paramount as it shows our remembrance and participation in the Lord’s suffering and death till he comes. (Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30; John 6:53) WE believe in honoring God with our substance and that giving the tenth part of our earnings (tithe) to the Lord is an ordinance to be observed by all believers. (Genesis 14:18-20; Leviticus 23:10; Deuteronomy 18:4; Deuteronomy 12:11; Malachi 3:8-12) WE believe that God’s sacred institution of marriage is to be shared by a man and a woman according to the Holy Scriptures.
